New at Büttner

Krefeld, July 03rd 2024 – Milestone for the new Siempelkamp plant at Mekong Wood MDF Joint Stock Company: On June 3rd, the Vietnamese company produced the first board at its location in the district of Cam Khe in the province of Phu Tho. Mekong Wood MDF Joint Stock Company, previously known in the market for the trade with wood-based panels, is paving its way into the production of wood-based panels with this plant.

8' x 78.6 m: With this press format, the new MDF plant for Australian Panels is the longest ever developed by Siempelkamp. The Australian wood-based panel producer ordered the plant from its German partner for its location in Mount Gambier.

The BÜTTNER Energie- und Trocknungstechnik GmbH – a company of the Siempelkamp Group - sustainably strengthens its competence in the field of belt dryers: A cooperation agreement was concluded with the internationally operating Swiss supplier W. Kunz dryTec AG - also known as SWISS COMBI - which complements the existing BÜTTNER dryer portfolio.

The South American Arauco Group, a long-time Siempelkamp customer, continues the cooperation with its German partner: The company placed an order for a complete plant for the production of MDF as well as a short-cycle press line.

New order for Siempelkamp: The US door manufacturer Steves & Sons, Inc. placed an order for two forming and press lines for the production of door skins.

In November 2021, Homanit Krosno Odrzańskie Spółka z o.o, belonging to Homanit Holding, ordered for its site in Krosno Odrzańskie, Poland, its second grate firing plant with direct steam generator from BÜTTNER Energie- und Trocknungssysteme GmbH.

SMARTPLY, an OSB manufacturer based in Ireland, and BÜTTNER concluded the contract for the renewal of the entire energy and drying systems at the Waterford location in July 2020.

Beginning of 2021 the Canadian company West Fraser formerly known as Norbord awarded Büttner the contract for modifying and increasing the performance of its OSB drying system in Genk, Belgium.

The first complete system for our South African client PG Bison was successfully commissioned at the beginning of March 2022 at the site in Piet Retief.
