Taiwan-based Green River Panels has commissioned Siempelkamp with the delivery of the largest particleboard plant in Asia, which is to be built near Trang in southern Thailand. Over-aged plantation trees whose latex yields are running low after 25 years, and that are to be replaced by new plantations are to serve as the raw materials.
Büttner will be supplying a drum dryer sized 7.0 x 36 R, which, just like the 95 MW energy plant, will constitute a superlative in Asia. The energy plant is to be equipped with a 75 m² step grate and two dust burners and will produce the flue gases for heating the dryer and thermal oil for the ContiRoll system.
The plant is to be taken into operation in the third quarter of 2019 and will then double the Green River Panels company's production capacities.
