EGGER is a wood-based-panels producer and is intending to build a new MDF plant at its Gagarin location in Russia.
BÜTTNER is to be awarded the order for the delivery of the entire energy and drying system.
The energy system has been specified for a total combustion capacity of 61 MW and, besides the feed grate for burning bark, it will also possess a grinding-dust burner and granule-injecting system for burning coarse particles and reject fibres. The system will produce the flue gases for the dryer and the steam for the production processes.
The flash-tube fibre dryer will be sized 3.4 x 6.0/4 and will be heated by flue gas from the energy system and by a 40 MW BÜTTNER gas line burner. This will be the world's largest fibre dryer with a throughput of 70 tonnes of fibres per hour.
