Hunton Isolasjon A.S. in Norway orders a fibre dryer from Büttner for its new factory for insulating boards. The order means that Büttner will for the first time in its history be supplying a flash tube dryer that is heated by electricity.
The electrical heating elements will deliver more than six megawatts. This method of heating is possible because Norway uses hydroelectric power to generate electricity at a low cost and in an environmentally-friendly manner. The chosen method of heating means that emission values for this type of dryer range at the familiar very low levels.
