Interspan, which is a member of the Swiss Krono Group, intends to build a new OSB plant at its Vasarosnammeny location. It has commissioned BÜTTNER with the delivery of a horizontal wet-strand silo, drum dryer with heating and a wet electrostatic filter for exhaust-gas cleaning.
BÜTTNER's single-path drum dryer sized 6.2 x 33 NH is able to process up to 30 tonnes of OSB strands an hour. The horizontal wet-strand silo with a volume of 500 m³ will be located longitudinally across the dryer drum.
It is to be heated by a BÜTTNER grate-firing system that will generate flue gases for the dryer. BÜTTNER will also be supplying a combination burner with a nominal performance of 35 MW that will be fuelled by wood dust and gas, that can be burned separately or in combination with each other. It is to be built on a vertical brick-lined combustion chamber, that will possess a thermal-oil heat exchanger to be fitted in the radiation area, thus producing further flue gases for the dryer as well as thermal oil in one single combustion chamber. This plant concept is characterised by its compact design, more efficient use of the radiated heat and thus lower investment and running costs.
The entire energy and drying system with wet-strand silo and wet electrostatic filter by EWK Umwelttechnik is to be supplied by the end of 2015.
