CLSC Murom is one of the leading manufacturers of wood-based panels in Russia and has until now specialised in the production of plywood. The company now, however, wishes to improve the utilisation of its own wood resources and is investing in a modern Siempelkamp plant for the production of the innovative and cost-saving OSB ADVANCED.
Siempelkamp's scope of delivery covers the entire process chain – from raw-materials processing with log-thawing technology through cutting and the latest press technology from Krefeld to an automated warehouse system.
The order to deliver, assemble and commission the dryer and energy plant has been placed with Büttner. The tried-and-tested high-performance Type 5.6 x 30 R single-pass drum dryer will be supplied with flue gas from the Büttner energy plant. The ash will be separated in a brick-lined flue-gas cyclone located between the dryer and the energy plant.
Büttner's energy plant with a total combustion capacity of around 40 MW will not only be supplying the dryer with flue gas, but also includes a 16 MW thermal oil heater. This is where the process heat for the Siempelkamp ContiRoll and for heating the building and the log ponds will be ensured. Bark, wood waste and dust will be used to fuel the system and will be converted into usable heat energy by the grate respectively the burners.
Construction of the new ADVANCED OSB plant in Murom has been scheduled to commence in spring 2020.
