Metro Ply Group repeatedly orders an energy system and a drum dryer from Büttner
Metro Ply Group, one of the largest wood-based panel producers in Southeast Asia and the largest particleboard producer in the region, orders a new particleboard plant from Siempelkamp and has once again chosen a complete plant from Büttner. In the past Metro already ordered 3 energy systems and 2 drum dryers from Büttner.
The scope of supply includes an energy system with a grate size of 53 m², a thermal oil heater with a capacity of 10,5 MW for heating the new Siempelkamp ContiRoll® as well as a new high-performance drum dryer type 6,0 x 30 R.
The new Siempelkamp particleboard plant will be built in Surat Thani, approximately 800 km away from Bangkok. This region has the highest amount of rubberwood plantations in Thailand.
Metro currently operates a total of five locations in two countries: Nonthaburi, Sai Noi, Prachin Buri and Surat Thani in Thailand and Wangaratta in Australia.
The start of installation of the new particleboard plant is scheduled for early 2022.
