IKEA is continuing to expand its facility in Novgorod in Russia and is currently planning to replace the two existing older BÜTTNER flake dryers with a new Type 6.5 x 32 R high-performance drum dryer by BÜTTNER.
IKEA's order to supply a new dryer also includes the engineering, completion and assembly of the existing Dieffenbacher power plant that had been ordered for an earlier project but that was never built.

This power plant will deliver an installed total output of 90 MW once BÜTTNER has concluded the conversion. The plant will then be used to supply the new BÜTTNER dryer with flue gases and will handle the facility's entire thermal-oil supply for the Contiroll press, short-cycle, separator and heating processes (including those at the new furniture factory).

BÜTTNER will also be delivering and installing the new power and control switching system, including the entire cabling, for both the dryer and power plant sections.

It will also be responsible for the installation and commissioning of the entire plant.
