Kronostar, which belongs to the Swiss Kronoswiss Group, is replacing an old particleboard plant that has a single-daylight press at its location in Sharija in Russia with a ContiRoll forming and press line by Siempelkamp.
Büttner is to supply the new 6.0 x 30 R single-path drum dryer that the increased performance capacity has made necessary. The dryer will be equipped with a flash-tube pre-dryer and a discharge box and will achieve a water-evaporation capacity of 45 t/h. It is to be heated with a 50 MW Büttner multi-fuel burner, which will be able to burn both heavy oil and dust.
The dryer is to be installed from summer 2016 whereby its position right in the middle of the existing production complex will present a special challenge to Büttner's installation team.
